Fqm

i have a Janome 6600 and have been trying to do some free motion quilting with less then happy results, lots of eyelashes on the back. I have been reading about the blue FQM bobbin case and finally broke down and got one. What a difference I have been practicing today and the back looks so much better. Just my opinion but I sure am one happy quilter.

Sorry, I can't comment for I have a mid arm quilting machine on a 14' frame but I'm glad you figured it out nothing more hateful than a machine that is giving you fits.

:-) for you. I have been down the same road and also invested in the blue bobbin case. Happy quilting!

Wow, that is great that you were able to resolve your problem. I have a Bernina so I guess this is exclusive with Janome.

Good for you for investing in the blue bobbin case.
Did you also get the free motion quilting feet package?
If not, too is well worth the investment.

The 6600 and those two additions was what got me hooked on FMQing!!
At the time, I was hesitant in spending the $, but put trust and faith in my dealer and went with it ... and never looked back!

ENJOY your 6600 ... a great machine!

I keep hearing about this blue bobbin case for FMQ..... maybe I should check into it. I have a Janome 6600 and I just love it.... so getting little extras to use with it sounds like fun :)

Eye lashes on the back means you are going around the curves to fast.

I just took a class on FMQ. Been practicing at home and got "eyelashes" on the back also. I was thinking it was my tension. Could that also be the problem or was I just trying to go too fast? I never heard of the blue bobbin case. I'll look into that.
