Where can I get information on a treadle Franklin sewing machine number 289099 trying to see what they are worth just purchased one for 50 with cabinet needs redone and a good cleaning..So if anyone has any info or know where I can get it i would greatly appreciate the help

thanks for the help sandy As far as the value of your machine I would have to see a photo of it. Most of the time it is one of those deals if you felt it was worth what you paid then you did good. I can tell you that it was sold by Sears and Roebuck and was a very popular mail order machine. What style cabinet do you have with it and what is the condition of it? If it is a parlor cabinet then it is very desirable, but for the most part remember that these old machines are not going to be great investments. We like them because they bring back good memories or we just love the fact that they are better built than the stuff that is out there today. Billy |
