Does anyone have a favorite site for free applique patterns. I'm looking for an easy butterfly or flower pattern.

Hi Judy:

I do a lot of applique and have found preschool pictures to be very easy to use. The site that I use it: All About Coloring at http://www.coloring.ws/.
what are you planning to make?

Judy, if you use google image and search free butterfly applique patterns, you can see at a glance without having to trawl thru all the websites what you are looking for...there are hundreds out there :D

Thanks for the coloring site. Many of these would be great appliques!

you can also use the clip art function on your Microsoft Word/Excel/Publisher programs as well as on a Mac (if you use Mac instead). Search for what you want and it will bring up tons of pictures and drawings, some of which are in outline form. Happy hunting!

I couldn't find a birdbath applique so I went to an online bird store, found a picture of a bird bath I liked, copied it over into Word, printed it out in b/w and traced it onto the steam a seam using my light box. It worked really well! Now to put it together and sew it on!

Thanks for the site and ideas. I think I found a butterfly in the coloring pages I can use.

When my quilter quilted my quilt (now there's a sentence), she tore it. She thought the needle was up when it was really down and she moved it... She zigzagged the tear so that it hardly shows but I am afraid it will not wear well. So I want to applique something over the tear.
