I have to agree with this. I used the supreme slider for a while. I got the vinyl frOm Walmart and tried to use that for a while. Now I don't use anything and FMQ on my dinky mechanical Brother and it does fine. The problems are with me!!

Wax the bed of your machine with car wax. I have been told that helps.

I have read where some have purchased the silicone liners you put on cookie sheets. I have seen them for as little as $5. I had the supreme slider, but it got all stretched out of shape.

I use the vinyl and do not need to tape it down. Have to cut the hole exactly right under the needle. I cut out the square shape of the entire needle plate and cut to fit under the arm of the machine exactly to fit the machine.
Mine goes far to the left of the needle and covers the entire extension table on my Arrow sewing table, big Bertha.
Hope it gets better with practice.
I use Mr. Clean sponges to hold the quilt.

yikes...before you do that make sure the wax is NOT petroleum based.. that will ruin the plastic on your machine!

Never had any luck with the Slider, my quilt still got stuck on the edge of my table.
Bought a cabinet with lift, no more problems.
