I have trouble remembering where I must stop. Some of my meanders have flat bottoms. Stitch in the Ditch doesn't flow correctly and only seen as wrong from the back side of the quilt. How do you mark so you remember? I get rolling and forget.

I used a piece bias tape laid across top so I would know where to stop before getting a flat bottom. After a couple of quilts it became second nature so didn't need to the tape anymore.

I have a chalk wheel, I roll a line about 2" above the flatline mark, that way you can go past it here and there so when you roll it doesn't look like you started a new line.
