Free motion quilting drawings
 

Hi, does anybody remember a post from you tube where a lady was drawing fmq designs on paper with a pen. I want to practice on paper first and then go to a sandwich after l feel confident. Thanks in advance.

I use to doodle on regular paper or if you want to actually use for a stencil, use tracing paper.

Lori Kennedy - her blog is The Inbox Jaunt - has some interesting posts on doodles. You can sign up for e-mails where she shows you her new doodles and designs and how to make them. Search for her and the link will come up.

I got a big white board and I doodle on that till I like what I see. Be sure not to put your elbow down. You want to teach your arm that movement, not your wrist. Also use low odor dry erase markers. I almost asphyxiated myself the 1st time I tried this (oh and I used up a whole marker!). I found a big office white board at a thrift store for about $5

If you are on pinterest, Luann Kessi is another great one..she has a blog at luannkessi.blogspot.com but also has a lot of posts on pinterest.

I use a white board. It works so good and you can use it over and over.
