I'm just beginning FMQ but from what I hear the greatest tool is PRACTICE!!! I did pick up some gloves which I find helpful.

Even with an aid everyone is right loads and loads of practice to build confidence, I know I have put on my BSR and my supreme slider then my gloves and just sit down and sew and sew practice blocks aka doll quilts for my granddaughter until I feel that I have some rhythm then go to my quilt or project, even after doing many projects, I still practice.
