I live in the rural area of a small town, but we DO have a Super Walmart and a Food Lion Store where you would think they would carry freezer paper, neither of them do. So, where do you buy freezer paper????? I haven't ventured out to any larger town/city to look for it. Help!!!

Sadiemae 03-30-2011 09:11 PM

That is weird, because my grocery store has it and I live in a very small town also.

Mary I can buy you a box and mail it to you

It's usually on the bottom shelf with the tin foil, waxed paper and parchment paper. I can't imagine that those two stores don't carry it.

Grambi 03-30-2011 09:22 PM

I also would be more than happy to mail a couple of boxes. Just PM me and give me your address. Planning a grocery shopping trip in the next day or two so wouldn't be a problem to pick some up.

I can relate. I got mine from the hardware store. LOL
They had to special order it.

I live in a very rural area too. Walmart carries it. I think the two smaller grocery stores do too.

Painiacs 03-30-2011 09:57 PM

Walmart does have it. Look by al foil.

jaciqltznok 03-30-2011 10:32 PM

It will be costly to ship the rolls, I know!

You can buy it cut in standard paper size for running through the printer! PM me!

I had to ask at my WalMart. It was hidden on the bottom shelf.

dunster 03-31-2011 03:35 AM

I also had trouble finding it at first, but it was there all the time.

pocoellie 03-31-2011 04:02 AM

You should find it with the wax paper, cling wrap, etc.

thequiltmama 03-31-2011 04:55 AM

I couldn't find it at my walmart but found it at the small local grocery store. :)

hobbykat1955 03-31-2011 05:18 AM

got mine at local grocer

Grambi 03-31-2011 10:16 AM

If you have a butcher in your town you could also ask him.
If they still use it to wrap meats in then they might be willing to order you a roll at their cost. Of course it would probably be a giant roll that would last you for the rest of your life!

I get mine at the grocery store. It's usually hidden on the bottom shelf where the waxed paper and foil are. My WalMart has it, but it's a Super WalMart.

My small town grocery store and normal sized Walmart both have it. At both stores it's in with the saran wrap/aluminum foil/ziploc bags.

BellaBoo 03-31-2011 02:13 PM

I found it in the 'celebration' (stupid waste of space) aisle one Walmart and in the grocery bag/foil aisle in another Walmart. It may be with the canning supplies at Walmart, usually it gets moved with the seasons.

quilttiludrop 03-31-2011 02:17 PM

Different stores do carry different items. For example Albertson's carries the larger Ziplock 1-1/2 and 2 gallon bags that are so handy for your quilting projects.

I am in a rural mountain area as well, and our Super Walmart has it.. its with the regular foil, plastic wrap, ect.. Although, it sometimes is not always availiable when our marketers dont do their orderings each time it needs to be done.. Just saying even if walmart is a big store, and has alot of stuff, theres a shortage on people doing their jobs sometimes in our local store.. ( ok, so I am not a big proponent of walmart, just sayin' )

Butterflyblue 03-31-2011 06:11 PM

You might talk to the manager at the grocery store and ask if they can get it. I've heard grocery stores are often responsive the customer requests, though I've never tried it, myself.
