Does anyone have or have made a French Braid quilt ? Have heard so much about one but can't find a pattern. Thanks

Here is a tablerunner pattern that is the same as the French Braid pattern. I know it is because I have the book. This will give you the chance to see if you like sewing the pattern before buying the book.

Here is a picture of a French Braid Quilt I took at a local quilt show.

They are so pretty. It's another pattern that's on my list to do. I may need to live forever to do them all. TeeHee

I made one last year; it was my first large quilt (queen-size). I used the book "French Braid Quilts" by Jane Hardy Miller. The book was excellent. I was surprised at how easily the quilt went together.

I look forward to making more of these quilts. The challenging part is selecting the fabrics.

Note: The colors just didn't show up right. All those whites in the middle are different, really they are, but they all look the same in the picture.

Those are pretty but look complicated. Nice looking quilts.

If you want a quick braid pattern, check out:

It uses Jelly Rolls, and it looks pretty easy!

It is another pattern re-named and rediscovered. I first knw it as Seminole braid. The Seminole Indians had some amazing patterns - row upon row of layers that work well for borders or whole quilts, depending on the scale they are worked in.

Here are some other Seminole patterns

Thanks for the info. I went to the suggested web site, beautiful quilts, and some of the free patterns are great, really liked the greased lighting. Bright.

I really love the french braid pattern, I gave the one I made in Yellow/Blue/White as a housewarming gift.

Oh, very pretty. I love yellow and blue together. Great quilt.
