I would be honest, but I have bought what I consider "ugly" because I know it will be perfect for something I am making for someone else. For instance, my mother loves anything smothered in roses in pinks and mauves...not my thing at all but I have recently purchased yards of the stuff. Guessing it's going straight to Mum when it's done.

A true friend will always give an honest answer, whether it be positive or negative. I always say if I don't like something; and agree to disagree.

I tell them it isn't my taste, I want to be honest with the,just in case they were thinking of making me something.

I would tell a friend if they were thinking about an article of clothing that it didn't look good on them, but all of us have different opinions about what's ugly and what's not, so I would say you gave her your honest opinion but she obviously didn't think it was so ugly. My personal opinion here.

I love ugly fabrics, but I bet you already knew that.

My belief is...if they didnt want my opinion, they wouldnt ask so I tell them...IF they dont ask, I keep opinion to myself lol.
