Love stars too, and would go with #3. The different directions really catch the eye and gives it the razzle dazzle effect.

Oh my gosh, thanks so much for helping me out. I havn't been back to the board for a week but I can't believe how you all helped this concern. Yes we do have quilting police at guild and I had decided that I wasn't going to go by the book along time ago as far as quilting is concerned. Thanks for your input.

I don't believe for one minute you were bored. You were jumping into action for a quilter in distress. You're my hero. Personally I'm going with your 3rd pic as my favorite. It really keeps your eyes moving and I agree with another poster that 1 and 2 did make the quilt seem askew. Blessings.
