Frixion pens and hot car opps
So, I left my bag of Frixion pens in my car. It is 30 C outside and who knows how hot in the car.
I could not figure out why they were not working. Duh. I hope they come back to life when they cool down. I have all the colours, a dozen or more pens. |
Oh no! I wonder if they will 'come back' after a bit? I imagine that if I left them in my car in Phoenix (42 C) they'd just disappear altogether, ha!

I would have never thought for a moment that this would happen. Now I know not to leave any of them in the car. I usually wouldn't be in a position that would make this happen because when I take my sewing out I always bring it back in the same day and I don't do anything that would have my bags in the car with me elsewhere. So sorry this happend but good information.

I did the same thing a couple summers ago. They will come back. Probably will take a day or two. I was pretty surprised when mine did that same thing.

Hummm, since 'cold' seems to make the markings made with them re-appear I wonder if they'd rejuvenate faster if put in the refrigerator??? Maybe try just one and see. So sorry this happened and hope they come "alive" again. Good information though.

Would have never thought of this. How do they do when they are being shipped though? Warehouses and trucks could be pretty warm. Interesting contemplation!

This thread reminds me of when I left my robot vacuum in my hot car for a couple of days. Now it speaks Spanish!
Works great though. Too busy quilting to take time to figure out how to change it if it’s even doable. LOL. |
It must have felt like a twilight zone moment. Please let us know if they work again.

Did you try putting in the frig??
