I have the sa e problem wih my 6600... Was fine when I have FAQ before but the last few times it all had to be ripped out. And I agree with you. I can sew slow or fast and it doesn't matter either way. I will try with the feed dogs up .

Try setting your stitch length to 0. I have a 6600 and I always set length to 0 and it works great.

You need to find the right rhythm between the fabric movement and the needle speed.

As someone has already said, try with your feed dogs up and pressure foot down. My machines have always like Gutterman thread for FMQ
