I don't think I've ever sewn anything that had more than a few pieces without have to stretch a little to make sure points and seams match up. |
this made me laugh because i just got finished marking the border on my quilt and had to fudge the corner
Starting on the last 1/3 of my quilt... :) |
I can usually get the first two pieces to line up - it is all downhill from there.

Aren't we suppose to do it occationally???????

You mean I'm really supposed to square up?
|
sometimes I square up and don't have much left!LOL

You might call it fudging, but it is really called "Easing". The more you have to do it the more likely you either cut something wrong or are sewing with the wrong seam allowance. I rarely have to ease pieces together to get them to fit correctly, but can ease as much as an extra inch into 4" when I have to fix someones stretchy bias. Oh, did I say Hi?I been lurking for a few weeks now.

WOW! I just spent the day trying to make those darn stars match up with the paperdolls! I though it was a newbie thing?! :-(
