Fuschia, where are you?
We live in a small town and I am looking for a true fuschia solid fabric for an upcoming class. Joanns' closest shade is a dark plum. I very carefully chose a Kona cotton on Missouri Star that looked perfect. It arrived and looks like watermelon red. The exact Kona cotton shade is in a charm pack of their solids recently purchased but there is no info about the color names. Any suggestions for how I can find this with confidence and avoid unsuccessful purchases? Thanks!!

You might try an internet seller that has all the Kona colors and see if you can ID yours. I actually sent a swatch to an on-line forum friend who had a Kona color chart, and she found it for me.

Try BrewStitched on Etsy. She has a color card; Dragonfruit looks like it might be the one you want.

Have you checked Robert Kaufman's website. They have all the Kona colors.
It can give you a rough idea. I bought their colour card to avoid the guessing game. |
I believe most Joann stores have a special order book of all the Kona colors, whether you order through them or not you can get the color code. In our area the books are kept at the cutting desk, but usually under the counter.

I have a Kona panel of all the colors. Could you post a picture using natural daylight and post it? I'd be happy to compare it to my panel. There aren't any on it called fuschia or one I would call fuschia, but I know it's a subjective color tone.

Many thanks for all the suggestions/info. This morning I ordered the Kona Dragon Fruit on Hancock's of Padukah website. But when I received the email confirmation, it was noted as backordered so I had to cancel. Our very small local sewing store had a blender that works beautifully, so there is a happy ending. ;-)

Years ago I was redoing a bedroom using purple and black. I could not believe that I would be in the store and choose the color that I thought was exactly what I had at home only to wind up with probably 5 or more shades of violet, all the way to purple. It was an awful experience and that was doing it in person can't imagine on monitors.
