Today when I was working on my last last minute project, I used my "quilt Halo" for stippling. It is my new fav. tool for free motion. MUCH more control. I love gadgets that make the job easier to get done. Don't you?

What is a "quilt halo"? If it makes FM easier I would like to know more about it.
|
Is that the foot used for embroidery and FMQ? The one that doesn't really touch the quilt and has a small circle shaped hoop? I think it's also called the hopping foot.
|
where did you get it? I just watched the video and it looks like it works great. Thanks for the tip!

The Halo is a heavy round hoop used to move the quilt underneath the machine. There are several youtube videos how to use it. I bought one several years ago from Sharon Schamber when it was first available and I have bought a second one and I use them together on top of each other for more control

It is a wonderful weighted "ring" that is also magnetic so you can use more than one and guide your fabric with it. It is so easy to move around with. I saw one gal just googled it and saw how it worked.

I bought mine at a local quilt shop in Penticton, BC but I know my friends bought theirs in Paducah, Kentucky at their quilt show so I am sure they are available in quilt stores.
|
No, it isn't a foot but a weighted ring that slips under your free motion foot or darning footl
