I am trying to find a copy of 'Galaxy of Stars' quilt pattern, by quiltmaker Debby Kratovil. It is shown on the front of the Dec 2006-Jan 2007 #73 Quilt magazine. Inside it is also shown and is a 'web bonus'. That means that even though the quilt is shown on the cover and in the magazine, one would have to go the web site to get the pattern. I tried recently, and can't find the pattern there. I know it is an old magazine, but wouldn't one think that a quilt so prominently shown on the cover would have the pattern in the magazine??? Did any one download a copy of this pattern? Can anyone help me find it? I've e-mailed Quilt magazine and haven't heard a response. The pattern has to be out there somewhere. Help!!! Please!!! Thank you.

Hello. I just googled "Galaxy of stars quilt pattern" and it brought up several sites. DO NOT GOinto the ones that have "This site may harm your computer" . We have been warned about some of these. Glad they post it for all to see. Hope you find what you need.

I would contact Quilt Magazine and ask them if they can forward you a copy of it. Their archive doesn't seem to go back far enough :(

Is this it? It's not free but not too expensive either. |
I have googled Galaxy of Stars, and got the same response. I will not open the ones that might harm my computer.
I have contacted the magazine and gotten no response from them. No, Raptureready that is not the one. Thanks anyway. I did send an e-mail to the quiltmaker to see if she can help me with it. Thanks everyone for your help. I'll let you all know if the quiltmaker answers my e-mail and what she has to say. Janis |

I went thru Debby's web site and didn't see the pattern. |
I just saw that pattern recently in an old quilting magazine. Gave all my old magazines to my quilting club. Will do some looking this week.

I e-mailed Debby to see if she could help. There are a lot of different patterns on the web that have similar names, but I'm looking for Debby's pattern and don't think they are probably on those sites that have warnings, so I haven't tried them. Worst comes to worst, I'll have to use the picture of the pattern and try to draft my own pattern.
KansasBarb, Thanks for looking for the magazine. I haven't given up hope on finding the pattern yet. Thanks again to all of you who have tried helping me. |
http://planetpatchwork.com/updates/update01192007.htm This is the first one I thought of, thinking it was called Galaxie of Stars, but no, it is Celestial Migraine.
But I did find this free pattern for you. http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-qui...ars-Quilt.aspx \ Any of these help? |

Looks like this quilt may be called Knock your Socks Off The center star is the same as in the pattern I was looking for, but the others are much nicer than in the original pattern I was looking at. Now to see how I can get the pattern. I'll e-mail her again and see what it would take to get this pattern. I was drawn to the center star anyway, and like this one better. The stars are much better than in the original one I wanted. Thank you so very much for finding it for me. what did you do to find it? Thanks again, Janis |

Hi, all. This is Debby Kratovil. I understand a few of you are looking for my Galaxy of Stars pattern CD. I used to offer it at my web site and then I switched servers and forgot to get that link back up. I think I've attached the jpg of it here, but if not you can see it here:
http://www.quilterbydesign.com/KnockYourSoxOffStars.jpg You can get this pattern through me for $10 plus postage. Just email me: [email protected] for details. ALL the star patterns are included, with printable full size templates and foundations. It was at the Quilt magazine web site for a year after it was published, but I requested it be taken down (as I own all rights). Debby |
