Gammill Charm in Table!!!!

So excited and have to share!:)

I've just added a 22" Gammill Charm to my sewing room!
For a while I've been wanting a long arm (I know, we all do). After trying a few out I realized I needed
a sit down machine. The quality and a good discount made my decision. I am impressed that
Gammill encourages owners to do repairs/adjustments themselves. Even came with the tool for testing and adjusting the timing.
I am completely in love with this machine. Sews like butter, smooth and yummy!
While it's still sitting, blocking the walkway to the dining room, I've been practicing and am so glad I sprung for it. Hoping to coral the family and get my sewing room reorganized this weekend.
Thankfully the table has good size casters and is a breeze to move. Making space in my already
full craft room.....will be fun.....

I'd really like to hear from others with this type of machine!
Thanks for all the input/info I found on this board during my search.

Ohhh!!! How exciting!

Does yours come with stitch regulation? I'm curious to see how the Charm does that.

Congratulations on your new toy!!

Sewnoma It didn't come with a stitch regulator. Not sure if you can add one on or not. I didn't like the stitch regulators when I was trying out machines. But the new model comes out in a couple of months. Not sure what the changes are.

I found I'm more comfortable with a sit down machine as well. I love my HQ Sweet Sixteen!

Please tell us all about this machine. I am interested also and want to know how much time it ooh to get the bobbin tension just right, total space dimensions with table, etc, etc. I've been putting off purchasing a sit down until this new baby was announced!! :)

well done! It is wonderful to make a decision based on experience rather than guess work.. Happy stitching.

Just looked at these this weekend with a friend. She ordered one so I can teach her to fmq. It seems a little unfair.
At least I'll have access to one, even if it's not in my own home.

Good Luck with your new purchase.

How fun. You will enjoy it. Setting the timing is something most LAQ have to learn how to do on their own. It isn't that hard once you have done it.

Well, happy days for you! I have been waffling big time between mid arms and long arms. Congratulations big time. I sure it's a nice feeling to have finally found what you've been looking for.

Wow, look at that throat space!!! http://www.gammill.net/product.php?id=10
If I stay in Colorado, there is a shop in Boulder. But if i move to Houston, TX there is one only north in Kingwood. almost to Conroe where my grandkids live. sigh. I will think on this one.

I just got my new sit down Tin Lizzie too. I did not get the BSR as I've tried them out at the store and did not find them that helpful for FMQ. So try one out first on a regular machine. I know I've seen posts where some people bought one, but stopped using it as they could FMQ easier.

Right now, I'm learning how to stitch a straight line! There is a learning curve!

Ooooooh, lucky you. Let us see what you have done with it, OK. Can't wait.
