Has anyone done these? I don't do well at applique, but lordy, these are so dang cute.

I dont know if these are the same as the Story Quilts patterns, which were the original garden cat patterns, but they are very cute.

I started the dog one. The first one was for Dec., then I had to wait till March for the second one. I heard that the lady was still writing the patterns for the dog ones,so there is a wait for the next ones. We didn't know this, when we signed up for this BOM. I got the first one done, but have been busy with baby quilts, so haven't started the second one.

My friend did the cats and they are adorable...I'd use lite heat bond and then machine stitch around each....no hand applique for me...

I doing a class where we are making the Garden Patch Cats. We are using SteamASeam2 and it works well.

Your pup is beautiful. I had an Aussie Sheperd Blue Merle and she was fantastic. Unfortunately I lost her a couple of years ago, but, am still looking for another one.

I love cats...would rather be around cats than people most of the time...but the Garden Patch Cats are sort of creepy to me. I can't explain it. I guess it has something to do with a cat having a vegetable for a body. Don't think I'll be making a quilt with those patterns.

I'm in a block exchange and my theme is whimsical cats. I love those patterns but I can't afford to by them all. Maybe at some point I will buy just my favorite if I can figure out which one that is. I would love to see any that have been done.

Is it just me or does anyone else think $9 per block is a lot to spend for a pattern? That would be $80 just for the patterns.
