Gathering of Quilters
 

Yesterday I attended The 23rd Annual Gathering of Quilters in Noble County, Indiana. Although I'm from SW Michigan, a group of my friends and I have been to this event for over 10 years. Wow - what fun in a full day of 'Quilty Stuff'. The Noble Nimble Thimbles Quilt Club has outdone themselves - for the second year in a row!!!
But, one of the speakers mention she met one of our 'Quilting Board' members face-to-face for the first time. I wish we could have had a little corner to meet and get to know the rest of us.
How many of you guys were there yesterday?

auntpiggylpn, my DH is from that area!! We're in NW Indiana & I had heard about it from relatives in Auburn.

Why doesn't someone post a month ahead of this event and maybe more Michiganders could make a road trip! Would love to try it out!

I didn't hear about it until this week...I know people from the area are on here since I've posted about RSVP's Auburn office before. It would be nice to have the heads up, I agree. Are you all planning to go to the Chicago International Quilt Festival in June? I started a post called save the date in offline announcements.

I heard about the Shipshewana one, some ladies from NE Indiana are attending. Since it's just after IQF, probably not unless my DH feels like traveling that week....besides, I'll likely blow my summer budget in one fell swoop at IQF. lol
