Get Ready for Virtual Quilt Day This Sunday, March 17 - St. Paddy's Day Edition
 

Hi all!

Are you excited for our 3rd, 2013 installment of Virtual Quilt Day? If you are not familiar with VQD, it's very, very easy. There are no rules!! I will make a new thread on Sunday, then you come back and post your goals in that new thread and then check in through out the day and let us know how it's going and cheer the rest of us on!! Easy Peasy. You can join any time of the day!! I will post the new thread on Sunday at 5 AM EST to try and get in early for those over the pond. Be sure to be on the lookout for it. This is a great way for all of us to have a quilt lock-in without having to drag our machines around town. It's a lot of fun and a lot of work gets done. Woo-hoo!! Of course pictures are appreciated, but not required.

I'm in, also. Don't know yet what I will be working on, maybe my latest BOM.

I'll be there after church and lunch. I was going to start something new but I really want to finish a BOM from 2011 so will be working on that probably :(

I'm in love doing the last one

I'm in...no plans on Sunday so sewing it is! I have some UFOs to work on and I want to practice my machine quilting on a small quilt I made with charm squares.

Well Saturday is National Quilting Day and Sunday is VQD, so my weekend is set. I figure about 24 hours of sewing strting Friday night after dinner.

I am going to finish my "going to class" tote so I can write the pattern (5 hours), I am doing a clothesline basket using Auntiestwo's method (5 hours), and I am going to work on a UFO. Plus I need to make another purse so I hope to get that started.

I'm in! I've planned a shopping trip Friday (taking a vacation day) to a new quilt shop in a neighbouring town. Then quilt class on Saturday, and now Sunday to quilt my fingers off!

I am ready! a new quilt in the making! I will be starting a 12 petal dresden plate quilt. A new one for me. peace

Count me in. I missed the first two this year and have been eagerly awaiting this month when I would finally be able to join in the fun!

Haha I didn't even realize!! Good timing though huh? LOL It will be a super quilty weekend! I should probably see what my LQS are doing for NQD on Saturday to get ready for Sunday!!

I'm in. I want to finish my Cabins in the Cotton quilt......finally!!!

I have decided to start and finish a baby quilt ah, ah ,ah.

Oh and racing F1 starts this weekend. Twill be sewinastic weekend.

I'm in after church!! I have a quilt I will be sandwiching tonight that I will be hand quilting. I also have 2 trash bags of fabric and scraps I bought from Craigslist to go thru and cut the scraps...Even before I have gone thru and sorted it all, I have already made 2 lapquilts from the bags!!

P.S.---will be eating Irish Soda Bread all day!! Have about 10 loaves to do for family and friends today and tomorrow!! Just have to keep the butter off the quilt!!

I'm in! working on a string quilt want to get it done!

Will be quilting all day on Sunday, have not been able to participate in the last two so I am allowing nothing to interfere with VQD for March (also it is St Patrick's Day and my husband is Irish so he will be celebrating!)

I have a twin quilt to sandwich and quilt so hope to get that done on Sunday. See you all then

I am making a color wheel quilt. I need to finish the last 6 wedges before our next class.

I work Sundays but tomorrow I plan to spend making a simple Quilt for my MIL b-day on Sunday.

Hopefully I will have a picture to post by the end of the day.

I'm in! I'll be working on my Irish Chain quilt top. I'm currently attaching rows together, and once that's done I can start on piecing the border. I don't think I'll manage to get started on the border, but with a bit of luck I'll manage to finish putting all the rows together!

I have the last show of Grease at the local high school. I have spent that last two months helping working on costumes so I have to be there and then we have to hang all the costumes. I don't think I will have a chance to sew. I should machine quilt the border's of my son's quilt and put on the binding. If I have a couple of hours maybe I will do that.

Tomorrow's the big day!! Be on the look out for a new thread to post in in the morning. :)

I'm already, spent today National Quilting Day, layering my quilt for my Brothers Birthday, next week, so tomorrow VQD I will start the FMQ, wish me luck it's a big one for me, 5.5' x 7'!

I'll be there after church. I will be cutting out Quilters Club of America's Mystery Quilt 8. It is a 2 fabric quilt. Since I'm starting the quilt on St. Patrick's Day, I will be using dark green and cream as my 2 colors. I love participating in VQD! VQD inspires me to keep quilting. Thanks, Rachel!

I'll have to miss this one as I'll be flying to Wichita for work. Can't complain as I just had a WONDERFUL week quilting in the Smoky Mtns. and attending Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge. I finished binding 3 charity quilts and a small quilt for my dear little dog. (ok, the dog's quilt was just a panel - nothing too sophisticated).

i am at work and it is so boring.......thank god i brought my quilting with me.......was on the last bit of SID on my lonestar quilt when i ran out of color thread......well good thing i brought my periwinkle quilt to work on......so work till 12:30 am so will be quilting till then..........sleep a little and finish my periwinkle tomorrow....so excited i luv quilt days
