Some are just painful to watch. I mute the sound with CC and can usually follow along.
The Presenters should pay attention to their appearance on camera and not "do frumpy". Check your hair and outfit and please get your coffee in your system. We don't need to visit while you are still waking up with your coffee. There I said it. |
I guess if they are not someone's speed or to their liking, they can just not watch. I like Donna Jordan videos, have watched some Jenny Doan, now liking Krista Moser and if I click on a video that is annoying, I stop watching.

I will never be on the Sharon Schamber level but I have won enough local and regional blue ribbons to know my quilts are good enough to be judged without me getting stressed over it. . Right now I'm into Donna Roberson and Fran Morgan stye of quilts. |

I find the introductions are too long. I usually skip ahead. I love YT.

Sharon Schamber is a quilting perfectionist. She isn't as active as she use to be in the quilt world so her name is becoming less known to new quilters. Her work is simply the best you will ever see in a quilt.

I feel the same way! There are times when I am looking for a specific process, so there may be several different videos to chose from. I'll start watching one, and after I few minutes am thinking "get to the point!" Often I'll skip to the next one to see if their delivery is different. Many times there will be more than one way to do something, so I tend to skip around to find something to suit my needs. I have followed Donna Jordan's videos, and made several of her quilts following her precise directions. I enjoy her process and instructions.

I agree with so much of what has been said! I do not want to watch someone sew, I am usually watching for a technique as I really do love to see how others do something and am willing to try their way to see if it works for me. I love Kimberly Jolly from the FQ Shop, she and Donna Jordan are my favs.
