Does anyone have any good tips on how to get fusible web off of an iron?

Some have ironed on a dryer sheet and said that worked really well. There are also products available for this too, at Joann's I have seen several :D:D:D

Sometimes ironing over salt will work...just be sure it's salt not sugar!LOL!

Dryer sheet! New! Then some sort of cloth even papertowel to get it off after the stuff melts--not the ironing cover.

I use dryer sheets like this:

Take three or four paper towels, stacked on top of each other. Place a new dryer sheet in a corner of the stack. Heat the iron and iron/press on top of the dryer sheet and then slide the iron onto the paper towels so that they absorb what the dryer sheet loosened. Repeat until the iron bottom is clean. If there is anything inside the dimples of the iron, I will use a tweezer to hold a small wadded up piece of dryer sheet and wipe inside the dimple. I finish with a couple steam bursts from the iron onto clean paper towels.

I just heated the iron back up and wiped on paper towels :roll: LOL Getting good at it too :thumbdown:

the scotch brand scrubbers for the porcelain cooktops will clean an iron lickety-split, also.

BoNash makes an ironing sheet that removes all types of glues from the iron. It's the best I've used. I bought a package of the sheets several years ago and still using the first sheet.
