GFG Hexie seams

I have made GFG quilts using 2-1/2" hexies before, no problems, so I decided, let's challange ourself and do one with 1-1/2" (what was I thinking?). I have just started on it and have 4 flowers done. My question is, how in the world do you press all those seams to the side. Or do you press them clockwise or counter clockwise, which is what I do with the larger ones. Or do you just lay them out right sides up and let the seams fall where they may? I will be hand quilting this. Any and all help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Hmm, all my hexie seams are open. I'll need a picture to understand what you mean.

I leave them open. I think if you're hand piecing that's the way to go. Mine fall naturally that way rather than to one side or the other.

Are you doing the EPP, hand sewing without the paper or machine sewing them? When I do the EPP I leave the seams open, when I did the hand sewing without the paper I can't remember what I did exactly, just let the fabric dictate the way it went. The instructions at the time were to have it go to the darker fabric, but can't remember if I did that. Check out Linda Franz website Inklingo she does a lot of the hand sewing without using paper templates.

I always leave them open where they naturally lay when I have done English paper piecing.
