I made this quilt in memory of my mother, it is called "Peonies for Mom". They were the last flowers I gave her before she passed. Now I have to send it to my sister so she can quilt it. For some reason every time I look at it, it makes me think of watermelon slices.

Thanks for looking....

Lovely quilt! Will your sister hand or machine quilt it? It is very soothing having your flower clusters the same all over-the one I am doing each flower cluster is different-with a white background-hope it turns out nice when I finish-I don't want all that hand-piecing and hand-quilting I will do to ba a waste!

Machine quilted, as my sister is a professional long arm quilter.

That is a beauty- thanks for sharing, what a great project to do for a memorial, you will remember your DM every time you use it.

Wish I had the patience to do all those tiny little hexes. Admire those of you who stick to it. Watermelon or not, it's beautiful and a great way to honor your mother.
