Gibson County Barn Quilt Trail

Check out the article in our local paper about Gibson County (Indiana) barn quilt trail. Has over 200 barn quilts so far. There is a web site for the trail but it doesn't show you much, yet. The paper has a good story.

courierpress.com from the Sunday paper 9-15-13

AND the name of the sign board they recommend. A hardware store in Princeton carries it, but so far I've not found it closer in Evansville. CREZON BOARD or CREZON PLYWOOD. Story says about $20 for 4 x 4 half sheet. Not bad if the board holds up.

"barn" quilts can be put on fences, garages, stakes in the yard, no need for a barn. Be the first in your neighborhood to have a fence quilt!

I see them everywhere, a friend of mine makes them, and she does a wonderful job!

I recently went to Burnsville, NC to follow the Western North Carolina Quilt Block Trail! It was like a treasure hunt looking for the next block some where in the city or outlying town areas. There are 9 quilt block trails in and around that area.
There are at least 50 in Burnsville alone! Here are a few of the ones we found.

Last night at a meeting with our women's club at church, I said I was thinking about making on for the parish and attaching it to the church hall between the office window and the conference room window. One lady almost fell out and sqalled that it was a BARN QUILT, not a hall quilt.

We do have a barn, but it's set way back and you can't see but the west end, and only for a couple seconds when driving past the church propery. Not wasting my time back there.
