In my Bible study group, we are at the age of having new grandbabies. I enjoy making a quilt for each one. I like trying new patterns and crib quilts are a good size for me to make and machine quilt.
Wal-Mart has twin size flat sheets for $4 that I use for the back of the quilt. I've found that from one flat sheet, I can back the quilt and have enough fabric left to make a fitted crib sheet. I wrap the quilt and crib sheet up with a box of Color Catchers since I use bright contrasting colors on the quilts. I figure the new moms might not know about Color Catchers since I'd never heard of them until I started quilting. |
Sound like lovely gifts and here's another vote of confidence for Color Catchers. They're an excellent product.

Okay, what is a color catcher?

I'd love to know what you guys & gals use in these newer front loading machines. There is never more than a couple of inches of water in the very bottom. |
Great idea!

they work in my front loader machine

I love them. Use them over and over and they get darker and darker.
