I would like some suggestions for gifts for the Quilting Bee members. There are 12 ladies in our Bee. We do a gift exchange for Christmas. The one year I did emb. snowflakes and Oatmeal cookies.
I was thinking about coasters. But would like more suggestion. Thanks Linda B. |

I like the idea of water bottles. Why, you ask? You take a water bottle and carefully remove the label. You then carefully cut a small slit in the center under where the label goes. Drain out the water and finish cutting the slit all around until you have 2 sections. Dry out the bottle. Roll a fat quarter of water design fabric to fit the bottle size. Put the fabric in 1 half, place the top half back in position. Run a row of clear packing tape around the split. Put your saved label back on over the taped split and glue in place. The seal is still in place with the water fabric in the bottle. What quilter doesn't need more fabric and they will wonder how you did it.

What is your $ limit? I've given the following items (in different years) 6 inch OmniGrid ruler UdderCream hand cream in a tube 36 inch retractable tape Mini cutting board (6x8 or so) Chalk pencil markers I've usually wrapped them in a 10.5 inch square of fabric to add to the stack that we usually exchange. Some items that I've received: Mug rug Playing cards (with a quilt design on the back) Notebooks Jams/jellies Bath stuff Christmas tree ornaments Soup mug |
How about the little tissue holders for pocket size tissue, they are really fast to make and don't use much fabric.
