I used a Sharpie to mark it. Maybe that wasn't wise but it didn't cause a problem.

I tried the Press n Seal for the first time for tracing a pattern for my hand quilting. It worked great! I love it.

I saved this article on the internet a while back, and actually bought some Press & Seal to use like this, but haven't gotten around to it yet so I don't know how well it will work for me. It's a slightly different use of the product - might still gunk up the machine, but no need to pick the Press & Seal off the quilt when finished. If anyone tries this, please post to let us know how it works.

Dunster, I would think that is a great idea! I like it and would certainly try this...but never again to quilt directly on it!

I like this idea, too. Where do you get the paper stencils? I already have a Ponce Pad.

you can buy a book and trace the patterns onto paper or you can buy quilt design software and print them.

Thanks for the site, KLue. I started looking in "unconventional" places like coloring books & stencils for painting. But I like the idea of paper patterns. I'll enjoy the software, too!

Press amd Seal is more expensive than freezer paper. The gold paper on a roll dosnt have sticky on it and I find it bunches up.
