glide thread

Is it still being sold? or is there a replacement for it at superior threads.
Just could not find it. Thanks for any help or suggestions for a replacement thread. I use a Sweet Sixteen sit down.

I'm in Canada, and order online from 3dogs quilting in Ottawa. I'm really hooked on Glide thread, and hope you'll be able to find a source.

You can get it here:

http://glidethread.com/

https://www.lovetoquilt.com/thread/g...ide-thread.htm (it's kinda weird here....you have to enter an amount and put it in the cart to find out the price).

You can also get it from:https://metroemb.com/store/index.php...ory&path=72_77. They have great prices and service. I order all my machine embroidery thread from them.

I use their embroidery thread in the longarm. It's a trilobal poly and there's a wide assortment of colors.

Glide thread is made by Fil-Tec, not Superior. Superior makes a similar thread called Magnifico (also Fantastico which is variegated).

Yes, it is available. You can also purchase a color chart of the actual thread colors. There are large cones and small cones too.

I love Glide thread, but, have only used it for quilting. Can you use it to piece with or just "sew" with it or is it just a quilting thread?

Of all the different threads I have for different purposes. Glide is my favorite quilting thread. Yes, as others have said it is very much available. They will also send a sample of different basic colors if it is your first time ordering from them. Or at least they use to. I received a nice smaller spool of white thread and had a choice of white, gold or black.

I started to use Glide thread on my longarm, Tin Lizzie, and she loves it. Now I use it for nearly all my sewing, quilts and garments (except when I'm using rayon for its effect on art quilts). Since it's 100% polyester, it has great stability and strength, little or no lint and lots of colors. I think it's the best!

I use Glide all the time on my longarm or domestic sewing machine. I mostly use PremoSoft in the bobbin as you can get to match the Glide. I have an account with Fil tec. I love the prewounds on the magnetic bobbins- more thread, less time and good choice of colors.

Yes, I use it for piecing, embroidery machine (both top and bobbin), and for quilting.

I too love Glide thread on my longarm but I have also used it as a topstitch thread on my domestic machine. It seems every machine loves working with Glide. I've been ordering from terylloy.com. She sells the cones for $9.95 a cone and when you order 8, the ninth cone is free! Her shipping is only $8.95. I ordered her thread card which shows every color available and that was a wise investment for me. Love that Glide thread!

I quilt and piece with Glide. It is reasonably priced (even here in the UK), strong and there is no lint.

I use Glide almost exclusively, both for piecing and fmq’ing. It is quite thin (but strong) and has helped my piecing accuracy. I use cotton only when required. Glide is a great product and a bargain to boot. Total win!

I love Glide thread! A great LQS in CT sells Glide thread: The Bolt Quilt Shop. They were in Quilt Sampler magazine. Contact them and I’m sure they’ll be happy to help. They ship!
