Glide Thread

I kept reading on QB about how much people liked Glide thread so I finally bought some and tried it out this weekend to quilt the quilt I'm working on. It's wonderful! And to make it even better, my Juki loves it! I'm going to be buying more of this! Thanks QB members who have recommended it!

Glad that you liked it. It's become a favorite of mine too!

Yes...I love Glide. It was first recommended to me by Leah Day when I took her FMQ class at MQX in New Hampshire about 6 years ago (that’s hard to believe). It was FMQ class on a domestic machine but my longarm loves Glide too.

I like it too. It does better for me using cotton in the bobbin.

I really like it. It shreds a bit sometimes, but the final effect is so worth it that I don't mind. I've been using it for years in my ancient mechanical longarm.

I got it originally for my longarm, but now use it on all machines. It's strong, fine, nearly lint free and comes in a gorgeous array of colors. I prefer it to anything, even the better cotton threads.

I use glide bot both piecing and quilting. I fell in love with it years ago and never looked back.

Hmmmm . . . I did quite a bit of quilting with it and didn't have any problems with shredding.

I started using Glide thread after watching Angela Walters and I love it. Wish my LQS would carry it, they do sell Isacord which is a good second favorite.

I bought Glide many years ago because I wanted a gold tone color with a sheen. It was 1/3 the cost of the others. My older Nolting loved the Glide thread and she argues about some of the other threads. At different quilt shows and events, I have found Glide on sale when others were still full price. I have ended up with a fairly good color selection. I have never had a bad cone.
