My granddaughter keeps grabbing all the glittery material and I have decided to make her a quilt from it. I am using the "Take Away" block in a 16" size. This way I only need 20 blocks. I am making each block a different color and using black for the centers. I am going to use the scraps to make a piano key border. I will set the blocks together using black strips. She will be 13 this month.

I am making the quilt for Christmas, so I have plenty of time to get it done.

These young girls really go for the glitz. Will be looking forward to some pictures. I wondered about working with the glitzy stuff...Is it cotton? Hope it all works well.

Never heard of the take away block - sounds interesting. Think your quilt will be spot-on for a 13 yo or any bling lovers of any age

What's a take away block? I searched on here and googled it, but didn't find anything. I like big blocks!
