Glow in the Dark Fabric??? Questions!
I bought some Glow in the Dark Fairy Frost fabric in white this week.
Decided to take the risk, even though the store clerks could not answer my questions. I brought it home, and charged it up. ... and was able to see how it looks in the dark! It will work for the intended project. Though the questions I have are ... Does washing affect it any? Or quilting? Thank you! |
A friend of mine yrs. ago made a Halloween quilt of glow in the dark ghosts and skull bones for her little grandson. He didn't like it in the dark. LOL I didn't hear anything about it not glowing after washing. Try just a piece of it to see.

I made my neighbor's kids pillow cases out of glow in the dark fabric a few years ago, still going strong after several washings :) I didn't quilt it, but I don't see why that would cause any problems.

According to Michael Millerl's website, it will last thru 3-5 washings. . . http://www.michaelmillerfabrics.com/...w-in-dark.html

Silly me, I never even thought of looking at the MM site! |
3 to 5 washings only? That's sort of silly.

Designed to be used more in wall hangings, apparently.

New Question ... Would a hot water wash be wrong for glow in the dark? |
my glow in the dark is still glowing 15 yrs later after washings. if the gitd stuff is still there. it will glow.
I've been looking for some. where did you get it. I just love that stuff. |
