Glue for a non washable quilt

It looks like I need to use glue on an art quilt. This quilt cannot be washed. Any specific glue I should use?
thanks.

Whatever it is you need to glue, would it work to use something like 505 spray that can be left in? Or does it need to be a more secure glue, something not repositionable?

I thought 505 too but I think using glue will be much easier.

I use glue sticks or Elmer's washable school glue, even though my art quilts are not washed.

I have used Steam a seam on non washable art quilts instead of glue. It's sticky like a sticker till it is ironed in place. Never used glue stick/liquid glue.

Depends what you are gluing .........
the sandwich? embellishments on the quilt?

if I don't want to glue to wash out (even though the item will not be washed out), you never know...... I use a permanent glue, like Liquid Stitch or similar. If I want to glue to wash out at some time in the future, I would use school glue like Elmers.

I appliquéd a very intricate applique onto a background I don’t like. I was thinking of cutting around it with an added 1/4 “, glueing the 1/4 inch underneath the applique and sewing it down to the new background.

Laura Heine has a glue she recommends for her collage projects. it's permanent. I can't remember what it's called, but I can check later.

Okay, I looked at her website. Here's what she recommends https://www.fiberworks-heine.com/sho...-x20365121.htm
