Go Cube?

Hi friends,
I'm rather new at the Accuquilt Go and was wondering if I should get a cube and what size? I really don't know much about them. Can you make a lot of different blocks? That's my impression.
I have some basic dies: triangles, squares, strips, Hunter's Star, Drunkard's Path, etc

Thanks for any info.

Susie

lyric girl- I have the Go, not the Studio. Would that work?

Yes! Lots of blocks with a variety of patterns too!

Here is some info for you. It takes some searching on the site but I found it. Look at the guides and you can see the different patterns available with each size.

I started with individual dies that make up the 12 inch blocks. Then added the companion ones (again individually). I recently purchased the empty storage cubes. They are sorted by category (cube, applique, etc). I still need to create master labels for each box.

Hope that helps!

The Qubes can be used in the GO cutter. Depending on which size qube you select, you may need the GO big. The Accuquilt page for that size qube will tell you machine compatibility.

If you go to one of the pages for a Qube, they list all the dies included in the set, mostly squares and triangles. If you already have some squares and triangles, you might be farther ahead by purchasing the rest of the dies individually. The qubes are nice as they have gathered the dies that work together, however, because they all fit in that cute box, many of the dies only cut one of the shape. Often (but not always) the stand alone die for that shape will cut multiples. You would have to add up the prices of the individual dies to see if there's a price break for purchasing the set. You can also purchase the book with the block patterns.

As far as the size, that is an individual choice. Do you like big blocks for a quick quilt, or smaller blocks?

Not sure.
I find their site very hard to navigate. Sometimes a blank page comes up.
I have the Go Big.
Not sure I want to get them after all. I have many basic dies.

Rhonda K- thank you! It does help.

I have the Go Big and I buy my dies as I need them. There are so many that I doubt I would use in a Cube. But if you want variety that's probably the way to go. I look at the price and gulp.

I had most of the die shapes before the cubes came out. If I didn't I would have bought the cube sets. Smaller and easier to store.

You can use any of the GO dies in the Studio cutter with the appropriate adapter, also. I also had a lot of the dies before the cubes came out, but I still own several of the cubes to add to them.
