GO and Sizzix

Are Sizzix dies compatable with the GO machine? I recall some posts saying some brands can be interchanged.

There's a nice collecion of Sizzix dies for sale on our Craigslist. (spelling---Sixxiz, nope)

No sizzix dies are thick, but you can use go dies in a sizzix. If you can afford it I would get the big shot pro over a go, they are a little more expensive but you can use both dies and the sizzix is a little sturdier than the go

That is one reason I sold my GO and bought the big shot pro. I wanted to use other companies' dies in it.

Thanks but I already have too much invested in my GO to get another brand. And thanks for the info on the dies.

If you could sell the machine you can still use all of your dies in the big shot pro. I had bought a lot of go dies while I had it and I still use them.

I have no desire to sell my GO.

Then you're limited to only using Go brand dies.

I a little confused...is the big shot pro for scrapbooking or for material...? I goggled and it shows up for scrapbooking

It's okay with me. I just did not want to pass up a good deal if it was compatable with my GO.

It's for both. They make papercrafting dies and quilting dies. At one time there were two models of Big Shot Pro. The regular one, which came with 12" long pads and tray, and the Westminster Fabrics model which came with the longer (24" or so) pads and tray. I believe they only sell the regular one now, and you can buy the longer pads/tray separately.

All of my larger dies are quilting dies. I have a 10" square, 10" circle, 6" circle, etc. I've also seen tumblers, apple cores, hexagons, etc for making quilts. Plus a lot of applique shape dies.
