Is there anything you think I should know?
I'm taking a class on machine quilting at the Pacific International Quilt Festival. I've got all the of the supplies and will be doing the required cutting before the class. I'm not entirely sure what they mean by needing a "machine with tray," though. I've posted about it before and emailed the show, they have no idea and said they'd ask the teacher, but not response yet! I hope I can navigated the convention center okay with my sewing machine in one hand, my notions box in the other, and a backpack full of supplies! (not sure how to change the name of the topic, but I meant to say that I'm taking the class on Saturday, not tomorrow haha!) |
Enjoy yourself. You will meet many fun ladies.

scared me. I had to run over and look at the calendar ;-)

Have fun. I think she means that don't forget to bring the tray that hold all of your attachments. I hope I am not leading you wrong.

That's what I've been thinking. I'm not too worried about it. I don't think it's possible that there could be that necessary of a quilting accessory so secret that nobody on this board had heard about it!

I think I was subconsciously wishing it were tomorrow!

Woo Hoo!! have a great time :D:D:D
I wouldn't worry too much about the tray either... it sure doesn't sound that important to me either LOL |
Best of luck to you!

Have fun!
I'm not sure what they mean by tray either but I am thinking it is the piece that hooks on to the bottom part of your machine (where the feed dogs are located) to increase the flat sewing surface of your machine? Just a wild guess but that certainly makes a difference when trying to FMQ and machine quilt. Many sewing machines come with one it is like a big U shaped unit that latches on to that bottom arm (the part of the machine you would but like a sleeve around when sewing clothes) I hope I am making sense. |
