I have always wondered Hancocks gets them from time to time here

I have seem these advertisements before, not sure if the sales pitch is for real. Not sure how I feel about these, leaning to thinking 'to good to be true'.

A friend of mine had one before she started quilting. Her model didn't do anyting right & she couldn't adjust anything to make it work. About the only things she could adjust were tension, stitch length & width. These are designed to be heavy use by children to make clothes, not for quilters.

She moved on to a Janome 6600P

My son bought one like that at Hancock Fabrics and it's not the greatest. He has a new machine now and likes it much better.

I think my mom got one from the school sales but switched after a short time.

I think I would rather put that money into an older machine. Most all of them are good machines.

You might check with your local dealer and get a good used one for that amount.
