I got in on the Hancock's Labor Day weekend sale. Got about 10 pieces of fabric for half price each. Thought I would buy a few since they were 1/2 off. Also bought some batting 40% off. I'm happy.

I got some at Hancock's, too. But my favorite is yard sales - amazing what you can find in cardboard boxes if you dig deep enough!

About a month ago, I was at a garage sale. The lady had little or nothing for sale; I told her I was looking for material. She told me to hold on and went into her house and brought a big box of material. I thought "Oh, dear." Usually it is just this and thats. Oh, my goodness! It was all GO0D quilting cotton! Obviously some was a quilter. I couldn't make up my mind on the fabrics because there was so much good stuff. End of story, I bought the entire box for $20. Figured it at $6/yard to be a little over $400 worth of material. I was blessed!
