This is my first question to the group, so please be kind!
And understanding. I am working on the third installment of my "Hell" series. My first was "If you Don't Mend Your Ways"; the second is "Hell in a Handbasket. The third is "The Road to Hell is Paved With Good Intentions". This one will be about quilters, such as "I will ALWAYS finish one project before moving to the next". What are your good intentions? |
What is the "hell" series for ?
Without intentions, there is no where to go. Although my good intentions may not always end up quite right, without them I would have no initial move to do anything. Therefore, everything I do starts with the intention of doing it.
For the H-LL of it, of course. Actually it was a combination of all the skull and flame fabric available and the fact that I call my son "The Tattooed Wonder". A lot of them are skulls. Then, my boss said everything was going to... and the second one was born!
So you take thoughts, use them as inspiration and turn them into quilts ?
My good intention to to make a quilt to honor my father's WW2 service, to give to a veteran. Would be quite a big challenge for me. Has to be bigger than I usually tackle. My cop out will be to donate blocks & money!!
quilt ideas are everywhere! We hve a local news caster that wears the greatest ties. IDEA. Someone says something that brings up an image. IDEA. Looking at a quilt pattern. Different IDEA. Sometimes I think my head will explode!
I will try to use all my stash before I am gone!!!
The reach of some good intentions is like traveling using a road map with lots of roads and no signs. Then you have folks telling you, 'try this road' or 'go that direction' until your good intention is just tension, then that is where the title of your project comes in. Now that I'm older I don't put up with the road map.
