I have been reading about "unfriendly" staff at LQS----well, today I went to the shop in Elk Horn Iowa (Prairie Star Quilts) and had the nicest treatment. Not only did they have some super sales but people more than willing to help. I had a non-quilting friend with me, and they spent time showing her easy projects for her grandkids to do. Just thought you might like to hear some good stuff!

It is nice to hear good things about a store.

We should try to do more of this. There's enough negative comments/news out there!

My LQS was serving biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and bagels this morning. Free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa this morning too! What a treat to sit and eat breakfast with quilting friends. :)

They are great aren't they. My first quilt retreat experience was held in their retreat center (not hosted by them, but we used their center). We took a break and shopped in that store and it was great. Very friendly and helpful. Glad you had the same good experience that we had. Nice people.
