I did it last night. Went to starch some fabric for the guild class today. Picked up my spray basting by mistake and SOAKED the fabric. I did notice it before I tried to iron it, thank goodness. So, I get to wash fabric tomorrow and had to change my plan for the class. I felt like a total idiot, then collapsed in laughter. The spray basting is now on the OTHER side of the room. Live and learn.

This is how I corrected it when I did the same thing! Frustrating, isn't it?

Hey, look at it this way. The blocks are all sewn together and will not fall apart while you stitch on the correct lines and then when you go to cut them apart, they are ready to go. You just spent time lining them up perfectly!! Now sew the other lines 1/4" away from your perfectly sewn stitchin' then cut 'em apart.

Disaster averted here ... After stupidly reigned ... Was cleaned and oiled machine ready to start mending pile ... Then realized the oil was really ... Fray stop. You never saw anyone mop and clean so fast ... Then I re-oiled with real oil ... And ran machine about 5 minutes nonstop. Seems to have created no problems and I've used the machine everyday for two weeks now.

Fortunately, you do not have to remove any of the stitching because it's the part that gets cut. There's always a bright side to everything. Wasted a little time and some thread is all.

You are not alone. I confess...I did the same thing! Now I don't draw the diagonal line, just the 1/4" lines. Sometimes we need to make things less complicated.
