Love the fabrics! How about something from the Take 5 book?
|
I don't like brown, but love blue. However, I envy you having these fabrics they are just beautiful, but I would not know where to begin, so I am going to watch this topic and see what comes up in the hope that one day I might acquire fabrics like these, so good luck and happy quilting. Make sure you post the result for us all to see.

i really like the colors and patterns - good luck, can we see the finished project when done?
|
wow i agree perfect colors it will be good no matter what pattern you use

These would make beautiful ohio stars with the addition of a white/light fabric. Actually a frienship star would be nice too and much easier.

Your fabric is toasty warm. Can't wait to see what you make

Those fabrics would look good in a pattern called Crossing, from American Patchwork and Quilting magazine, June 2010. I am half way done with mine and my husband even commented on how nice it was looking! I did it in the quilters heather, in browns and black trim. Your solid blue would look good as the trim. A trick I found was to make a copy of the block placement and mark the outside edge of each section with the fabric used in each block on the edge so that you do not put the same fabric next to each other. That way you don't have to drag out each section (their big) to see where each block is in the placement. Hope that made sense.

I think those fabrics would make a gorgeous quilt using the tube method. here is an example.
It's really easy to make. I think there is a tutorial on this board for this method. |
