I have a Grace frame and I love it. I have an old Pfaff 79 on it and I would love to have a longarm for the throat space but this will do for now. If I got a longarm I would keep the same frame.

The Grace Frame I am looking at is metal with a Juki TL2000QI machine.

Yes, they are very good.

there is a group on Yahoo for Grace Machine quilting frames.

Last time I tried to post a link here it was not allowed.

Lots of satisfied customers. I have the GMQ Pro for over 3 years. good sturdy frame.

I had a Little Gracie II, and now have a Pinnacle. Have been very happy with both.

I am glad to see this post I am looking into a gracie myself. they have one on their website for 1700 that comes with a Juki, but I am thinking that just a basic frame that will fit one of my older machines should work just fine.

Go to www.kathyquilts.com and they sell the Grace Frame for $399.00

you might want to consider the amoung ot quilting space you will have (or won't have) if you use a domestic machine. Everyone I know who has tried this has become very frustrated. It can be done, but takes forever. A Juki, I assume is 9" and would give you more space to quilt...but there are many others to choose from. I have a Bailey 13" Home quilter that I am happy with. The more space to quilt, the better.

ask others here who have tried the domestic machines on a frame or go to the Yahoo group - Grace Machine Quilting frames.. lots of information there.

I love my juki on the Gracie II frame I am getting the 2010 in a month for the frame. It takes about a day to get uses to it.

I have an original Little Gracie, the wooden pantos, Janmome 1600p, and the cruise control. I'm willing to sell. Let me know if you are interested.

How much are you asking for the set up. Frame and machine

cassie69emt 03-11-2011 11:13 AM

I have that setup and I love it ,I do have the stitch regulator and would not do a quilt without it . The only thing I would want is a bigger throat area. I guess that is the way it always is though , you always want more . lol . Hope this helps you out

i have a grace pinnacle and i'm very happy with it.

the only advice i have for you is thinking about what you will need in the future because many of the grace frames are small and you won't be able to do a king size quilt and some can't even do a queen size.

also think about the throat space, you might want to start with a 9 inch throat, but as someone said, this is limited, the small grace frames will not allow a large throat machine.

if you buy the large grace frames they have the ability to grow with you is size and throat space.

so while a $400 frame might look nice on the surface its only good for small sized quilts and machines.

My husband got me the Pinnacle\JukiTL2000Qi think I will really enjoy using it after the learning curve. Be sure you have warranty and support. They sent wrong screws and one of the legs was bad they replaced them again with wrong screws. We went to Lowes and got the right ones. Now the Speed Control is stuck in high. This happened the first time I turned the control. Little frustrated with that.
