Gram's joy; teaching a GD to sew

It's hot out, the AC is on and what better time but to teach an 8 yo GD to sew. 1. She's got the basics down--threading the machine, putting in the bobbin and sewing away. 2. Star sewing. 3. Christmas in July. 4. Then project hair scrunchie. Next we will move onto a little bag. After that she's going to serge a knit nightgown. She's all smiles!

It is so neat that you are teaching your granddaughter to sew! I love the things she has made so far. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Awesome--the projects, and her learning at such a young age, and bonding with Grandma!!

My grandmother helped me with my first sewing projects for 4-H. Sweet precious memories.
