there was a similar pattern in Australian Patchwork and quilting mag years ago,

called QAYG (quilt as you go) Hexagons

Oh my, the folded hex quilt is beautiful! I wonder if there are instructions any where for the folding?

This looks like the pattern on the reverse side of the quilt. Thankyou

This is not quite the same pattern she didn't bring the back fabric to the front, when done from the front it looked exactly like a true grandmothers flower garden and the back did to except you could see where she had folded it.

I found this tutorial on how to fold hexagon yo-yo's:

http://www.sewingandbeyond.com/userf...%20Folding.pdf

I also found a picture of a fabulous quilt made with them, but now I can't find the quilt!

She sells a "kit" with instructions on how to fold them!

OOPS! Thanks for the free instructions!

Thanks Prism99 and justwannaquilt (and anyone else searching for this tute) I had found it also, but my printer only printed it in part. Guess a trip to town for a new ink cartrage is in order. I doubt I will ever make a quilt from these lovely hex's, far to labor intensive, but maybe a pillow? Can see it in a rich maron or dark green velvet! Thanks again.

Sorry for not seeing your question sooner, but there is a tutortial for making these folded hexagons on my website - http://www.nyquilter.com/tutorials.php

Enjoy!
