No Kay. I printed them from a site on the internet, Like I said, where were you last Nov!!! I'll have to do a bit more surfing next time I start a new project. You probably have just what I would be needing.

Hi I am only getting to your message now as I was out of town all weekend and out of the office in outside meetings. I am only back in the office now and only a half hour of the work day to go.

I ended up spending Friday night sitting at the dining room table, with a glass of wine and cut out hexagons from old file folders in need of recycling. But thank you so much for your suggestion!!! I will take a look further in to your website in the next day or so!

Cheers!

Okay
so Friday night I washed all my fabrics.. well I still need to get a cream colour to put all the flowers together, but I figure I'm no where near ready for that one yet!!!

I decided to post some photos of the fabrics I chose and the important tools I need while making this quilt!!!!!!!!!!

as for the nun... Trevor decided to get silly and just throw that in there for a bit of fun!!! And I thought I was a nut!!!

oooh and I almost got my first flower made!! I came home from spending a weekend around the Bay in Victoria (where Trevor is from) to spend time with the horses (I cleaned up ... but things away, then sat down and hand stitched a bit more... stay tuned for more photos)

... check out my girl Ginger!! Trevor's cousin has 9 horses, and he plans to get another 11 as he wants to set up a horse trail ride busines next summer. We told him we would come out every chance we could next summer and volunteer. I told him the only way I would help him is if I got to claim Ginger as my own horse to ride. oooh she is in foal too.. Baby will be born in March.. My girl is gonna be a Momma!!

The important tools I mentioned above I need to get me through this!! ooh that red wine is called Jim Jim... It's a Shiraz and it is delicious!! ooh and don't forget the important chocolate!

My girl Ginger!!! My favourite horse!! I hope to get the saddle on her at the end of the month and go for a nice ride!

My colours... I plan to call this quilt "The Victorian Garden"

Yes, you are far smarter than I - I'm using 1" hexes, so I'll be doing this for a long time. Good looking horse. My mare that I used to own was great to ride while my gelding was a real bundle of joy - he was very skilled at throwing his riders when he wanted to so I was always on guard with him.

Anyway, you can count on me to be here when you need a kick because I'll still be working away on mine, all by hand :D

Happy stitching, Ellena

Aggie, you are too funny with your wine and chocolate! With my luck, I would have spilled the wine on the templates (or worse, the FABRICS) and gotten chocolate fingerprints all over everything!

Love your color choice. I was going to start a scrappy hexagon after the first of the year for my hand protect while watching TV with Paul. Now you have me rethinking that. I have been crocheting potholders since March. SD got me started on them.

The handmade quilt you finished the first part of this year was beautiful. I hope I am remembering correctly. You did post a quilt done by hand right. Yes, I have been drinking wine. Celebrating that Ike is not coming to the Keys. I do hope Cuba is fairing well. Their mountains protect the Keys. So Cuba does do something for America besides give us aliens. :-)

Hi Sewnsewer... hmmm now you got me thinking what quilt I did by hand!! lol I tend to machine piece all my quilts or hand applique but this hexagon quilt is my first all hand stitched quilt. Sewnsewer, take a break from the crochet and start up a hand quilt project with us!!!

Ripstitch is working on one too.. poor girl, I thought I was a sucker for punishment, she has smaller hexagons!!oooh but I bet it is going to be GORGEOUS!!
