Here is the picture of the aprons i made for my grandsons. they came over tonight and decorated Christmas cookies. The little one calls it his bib!

The aprons are very cute so are your grandsons. I used to live in midland. I went to Parkdale Elementary and Northeast jr. high. I have lots of friends that I still keep in touch with there. I used to compete in figure skating there it's been a long time ago. I lived on Tennessee Street.

thank you all for your wonderful comments. actually the aprons were very easy. The gingerbreadman is machine embroidered so that was a snap. the only thing i did goofy was i forgot to put the rickrack on before i sewed the facing down so i had to put it on by hand. But oh well-everything is a learning process. Thanks again.

We had a lot of multi-colored ones. We almost had unfrosted ones b/c they were going to drop everything and play wii with grandpa. We made them finish the cookies first. Gotta lov 'em!

Those are adorable, both the aprons and the boys. You are so lucky to have them close enough to come over to decorate cookies and visit. Enjoy them, they grow up so fast but always grandparents are special and they will keep coming back even when they are grown and married.

Cute aprons AND cute grandsons!

They are 7 and 5. Jaden's birthday was on the 12th, but with our schedules, this was the first we could celebrate it. He was very patient. I used to watch them everyday all day until she found a day care. now it's like they have another set of grandparents. it woorks out well for all of us.

What a great idea! Maybe I will try a similar idea with my granddaughter.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments. I did have fun making the aprons and the memories. Both boys like to help cook or bake and i enjoy teaching them. When my kids were little i always let them help with the cookies. How they got frosting on the walls and other various places, I'll never know. But those are happy memories- not the cleanup.
