I use those little, but thickish, pony tail holders! They work great.

I'm really going to date myself but back years ago we called these paper buttholes. They were made of paper and you had to moisten them to get them to stick.

rofl - I remember needing to moisten them also but we never called them that!!! HAHAHA - thanks for the chuckle - I know what word I'll be thinking everytime I use these "3-hole punch paper re-inforcements" from now on :-)

WalMart sells them and years ago you had to lick them for them to stick but now they are self adhesive which makes them even better. What a great tip. I tried the pony tail thing but I couldn't see the colour of thread & there weren't enough of each colour in the pkgs to try & match the pony tail thing with the colour of thread without buying tons of them. I like this idea much better. Tks for sharing.

Wow now I'm scarred for life! ROFL I've never heard them called that before. Now I will never use them again without that description running through my mind.

I like someone else said, personally do not like the pony tail suggestion, as with that extra bulk my bobbins wouldn't fit in the cases I have and I found that it obscures the color of the thread on the bobbins.

This is a great suggestion and I will be taking my "BH's" to the sewing room....so glad they are self adhesive these days!
