I use my Sidewinder when I do my bobbins and I use pieces of blue painter's tape and cut it small enough to cover the raw edge and that works just great also. Hey, we are very good at stuff like that - we can do anything with anything, right? Edie

I too use the ponytail stretchies.....my reinforcement labels do you mean what I call "ringers"? I missed that episode....

That's a dandy tip...and I do have those hole reinforces - may I suggest white not clear ones.

I buy packages of the soft hair bands for a dollar at the dollar store. There not tight and can also be used on thread spools. You get like a 100 for a buck!

Hi, I saw that episode on F&P and immediately put that idea to work too. I love it! I extended the idea a bit for my purposes. I mostly use cotton thread but occassionally use poly. I write "poly" on the white reinforcement label when I stick it on the bobbin if the thread wound is polyester (I do not write anything if the thread is cotton). Now, when I pick up a bobbin, I know if I want to use that on my project or not (I don't use poly on my quilting projects.) It saves me a lot of angst!
